At all levels of the award our programme offer participants:

• Training – normally 2 days in intensive training to cover aspects of the DofE. Participants will receive tuition in campcraft, food & nutrition, emergency procedure, equipment, map reading and navigation skills. The groups will plan their expeditions and produce route cards and map outlines. The 2 days are both classroom based, and can include elements of outdoor practical instruction.
• Practice expedition – Following further instruction and refining of skills, the groups will navigate and lead themselves on their practice expedition. Upon arrival at camp, our leaders will supervise the camping and cooking activities to ensure these are done safely. The groups will be remotely supervised by our leaders throughout the expedition. A full debrief will be given upon completion of the practice expedition. 
• Qualifying expedition – The group will be assessed against the DofE requirements by a DofE approved assessor. Following successful completion of the expedition, the groups will get a comprehensive debrief.
